My computer does not have a DVD drive. How do I install my DVD product?
Article ID: 25

Summary:

You have a DVD version of a product, but you now have a computer without a DVD drive. How do you install the software in this situation?

Information:

All Flight1 CD/DVD's can be copied to a portable USB flash drive (USB stick). To do this, you will need access to a computer with a CD/DVD drive.

To copy the files over, you will need to insert the CD/DVD software into the CD/DVD drive. If a window pops up asking what you want to do with the CD/DVD disk, select "Explore" or "Browse".

Next, insert the USB key, and do the same as above if a window pops up.

If no window pops up, go to windows Explorer, and browse to the CD/DVD drive.

Once you have the main CD/DVD folder showing in your file explorer, press CTRL + A to select all files. Then right-click the selected files and select "Send To" and select the USB drive. Allow the files to copy over.

On your new computer, insert the USB drive, and browse the folders on the USB drive and run the installer from there.

It is recommended you copy the contents of the USB key to a folder on your computer and run the installer from your local drive, as you will get better install performance that way.

The above is general guidance in how to copy CD/DVD content to a USB key. There are other ways to do this that may also work, depending on your computer.
