Flight1.com makes its E-Commerce system available to product developers or companies who want an innovative delivery method for their software. The system is designed to offer a high level of flexibility, allowing you to "package" your own titles without the hindrance associated with many third-party e-commerce companies. It allows you to be in control of all your products, from unique product ID numbers you assign, to the graphic display of the purchase screen of your wrapped software. The system is designed so that if you have a product completed at 2:00 in the morning, you can be selling your product at 2:05. If you get a sale at 2:10, you can even get LIVE reports of your sales through a special utility that gives you direct access to the sales data. And one of the best parts is that there are no start-up costs and you can keep most of your hard-earned revenues.

Below is an overview of how the system works. You are set up an account on our servers and you are given a set of user-friendly tools. Using the methods below, you can wrap as many titles as you want into stand-alone EXE files. The EXE file has your software, as well as the purchase interface, all wrapped in this single "package".

And you now have a stand-alone executable with a pleasant display screen that your customers will see. You then make your application available to the world through the Internet. This can be on your own site as the resulting executable is not tied to anything. A customer then downloads the file to their system. With a secure and encrypted connection to our server, the customer can make a purchase. Once the order is approved, the software is extracted to the users system. The customer is also given a unique key in their name. This is all automatic, with no intervention required by you or Flight1.com. And even better, there is nothing more the customer needs to download because the software was "embedded" within the EXE file.

Finally you can log in to get live reports of all your transactions directly through the tools we supply.

FAQ's...

I am just a small company or part-time developer. Is this system right for me?

The system can be used by both large and small developers, and since there are no start-up fees you have to pay, the system is great for the person who does not want to invest a lot of time and money. We already did this work for you!

OK, but don't I have to pay you an arm and a leg to use this system?

Actually no. You can keep as much as 88% of your sales price.

How often do I get paid for my sales?

All payments are sent out on a monthly basis.

Do I really have full control of my titles?

Yes, you can have 1 or 100 titles. Once you have the tools, you keep full control of when a title gets wrapped and made available to the public.

How do I know when a sale occurs?

You are sent a confirmation mail when the sale takes place, and you also get live access to your sales database through the special tools that we will send you.

So how is my software protected from piracy?

We worked hard to find the right balance of security, without locking the customer out from their software through complicated, hard-to-manage methods. The customer is given a unique key file which can't have the information altered. As long as they keep the key file in a safe location, they can always have access to their software in the future. We also offer the abilitiy to tie the purchase to the users machine through a few simple DLL calls (for this feature, your application needs to be able to access simple Windows DLL files).

Do I have to supply customer keys?

No. The key system is automatic and is placed on the users system at time of purchases.

What if a customer loses the key, moves to another computer, or reformats their system?

Flight1.com also has the automated http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=wrapperservice site for customers to retrieve replacement keys. Also, given the tools we send you, you can manage replacement or complimentary keys very easily.

I am not really a programmer. Is there any special things I need to do to the software before it is wrapped?

No special tasks are required. You can package any file types... EXE's that are part of a setup package, a zip file, PDF's, or any grouping of files. Once the sale takes place, these files are "delivered" from our stand-alone EXE to the users system, just as they were when you wrapped them.
