Golden Age Simulations Boeing Model 40 The Boeing Model 40 was a United States mail plane that became the first aircraft built by the Boeing Company to carry passengers. The Model 40 was designed to replace the military surplus de Havillands that had carried the airmail since 1918. On February 2, 2008, 80 years after the first Model 40C was delivered, the only airworthy restoration rolled out of the hangars of Pemberton and Sons Aviation in Spokane, Washington.
